Scuba diving in Abu Makadi Middle/South is very interesting. The site has a reef and is located in the northern part of Makadi Bay. The spot is perfect for drift diving, which starts at a sloping reef and proceeds to a steep wall.

Hurghada has a subtropical climate, with hot summers and warm winters. The average temperature is 30-33C/89-91F in summer and 17-19C/62-66F in winter. The hottest month is July, and the wettest month is September. The best month to dive is August, when the water temperature is 28C/83F.

What to see

Abu Makadi Middle/South has schools of stonefish, scorpionfish, angelfish, crabs, nudibranchs, and grouper. Divers can also explore layers of lettuce corals and other corals.
