Batu Kelebit is a dive site at Tulamben that has a group of rocks and steeply dropping reef ridges. It features a traditional reef with white sand and lots of corals in a variety of colors. It is important to pay attention to misleading down currents.

When to go

Diving is popular at Batu Kelebit throughout the year, but there are better sea conditions from March to October. There is more rain and wind from November to January. The water temperature averages 26-27C/79-81F, while the air is usually about 28C/82F.

What to see

The abundance of species at Batu Kelebit includes damselfish, jawfish, dartfish, trevallies, and cuttlefish. The largest inhabitants are manta rays, barracudas, whitetip sharks, tuna, sea turtles, and even ocean sunfish.
