dive site
Blue Magic
The Blue Magic dive site, located between the island of Kri to the southwest and the island of Waisai to the northeast, features an underwater pinnacle that failed to break the sea surface. The top of the pinnacle is in around 7m/23ft of water, and the almost vertical walls go down to a depth of approximately 30m/98ft. The dive site is popular with divers because it features lots of pelagics. Big pelagic fish gather at this dive site to feed or to be cleaned and can be observed by divers on a regular basis.
When to go
It is possible to enjoy diving at the Blue Magic all year round, because the water temperature of 28-30C/82-86F provides comfortable diving conditions throughout the year. However, the high season is from October through April, when blooming plankton brings more pelagic fish.
What to see
At this dive site divers regularly see a large number of pelagic species, including reef sharks, manta rays, jacks, barracudas, and tuna.
