The site features a reef with a sloping wall located at the north-eastern point of Kri island. This site is known around Raja Ampat area to have widest range of marine life occupying it. There are always huge schools of fish passing by and more than 283 different species of sea life has been recorded during a dive on the house reef. At the base of the reef, at 38 m/124ft, an ancient snagged anchor can be found. It is also recommended to stay deep while diving this site to avoid strong surface currents.
When to go
Diving this site is possible all year long. The average water temperature ranges from 27C/80F to 30C/86F throughout the year.
What to see
Among numerous creatures occupying the site divers can see schools of dogtooth tuna, jacks, snappers, giant trevally, chevron barracuda as well as large Napoleon wrasses, huge Queensland groupers, hawksbill turtles and some reef sharks. In the shallow waters there are nudibranchs and various kinds of scorpion fish. Coral growth is also quite impressive and diverse, with all manner of hard and soft coral varieties.
