Cathedral Rock is the most popular dive site in the Philippines. It resembles a roofless cavern, consisting of two large sea mounts. There are feather stars and inflated soft corals everywhere.

When to go

The average annual air temperature ranges from 25-35C/77-96F. The coldest month is February and the warmest is May. The average water temperature is 28C/82F. The dry season is from November to April.

What to see

Cathedral Rock is home to plenty of colorful sponges, nudibranchs, hydroids, sea squirts, feather duster worms, algae, smaller angelfish, butterflyfish, wrasses, triggerfish, Moorish idols, damselfish, pufferfish, and surgeonfish. Divers will also encounter parrotfish, hawkfish, blue sea stars, and sea cucumbers, barrel sponges, anemones, and clownfish.
