The most well-known dive site for Laamu atoll is Fushi Kandu - 250m/820ft long, and one of the best and most-visited channel sites. Fushi Kandu is located between the islands of Kandaru and Maabaidhoo (Maldives), with a little desert island in the middle. The coral structures are better in the channel than at the corners, which are located at the openings at 15m/49ft and 22m/71ft. Near the edge of the atoll, the reef inclines toward the shore at 35m/115ft. Night dives are also wonderful here. Other dive sites around Laamu Atoll - Isdhoo Muli, Kadhdho Thila, Munnafushi Kandu. When to go

Divers can dive here year-round. The best time to dive is May to November. The water temperature averages 27-30C/80-86F.

What to see

Divers can spot many creatures, such as schools of jacks, surgeonfish, eagle rays, sharks, barracudas, tuna, turtles, wrasses, stingrays, and mantas.
