Located at Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, Fushifaru Kandu is a channel dive site that is a part of marine protected area. It features a thila with a cleaning station and a sheer drop-off. The currents are strong and can be more than 4 knots.

When to go

Fushifaru Kandu has diving opportunities throughout the year, and the best sea conditions are from January to May. The rainy season is from June to November. The air temperature averages 28-30C/82-86F, and the water is typically 26-29C/79-84F.

What to see

The most exciting species at this dive site are manta rays, stingrays, whitetip sharks, and the occasional hammerhead sharks. Fushifaru Kandu is home to black snapper, grouper, eagle rays, fusiliers, parrotfish, and barracudas.
