Scuba diving in Hin Yippon - Angthong National Marine Park
This island is located in the north of the Angthong Marine Park. The site features a healthy sloping reef with large boulders, swim-throughs and shallow caves to investigate. Waters stay mostly calm which makes it a great spot for both scuba divers and snorkelers.
When to go
Diving is possible all year-round. Water temperature varies between 27C and 30C/80-86F, with the coolest water in the months of October and December.
What to see
Variety of soft and hard corals, barrel sponges, sea fans and anemones can be explored. In deeper sections of the site divers can find blue-spotted stingrays, reef sharks, green and hawksbill turtles, groupers, big snappers, schools of fusiliers, blue-ringed angelfish and yellow-tailed barracuda. Occasionally, divers may see a seasonal dwarf minke whale and whale sharks.
