Manta Avenue is a dive site at Sangalaki Island in Indonesia that features a set of coral steps full of marine life. There are a few caverns and overhangs covered by sea fans and gorgonians. Then the avenue leads to Manta Parade reef, with its underwater hills. Because of strong currents this site is for drift diving mainly.

When to go

Diving is available year round with conditions being the best from April to December. The average air temperature is around 28C/82F. The average water temperature ranges from 19C/66F to 30C/86F with a year round average of 28C/82F. Water visibility stays within 10-30m/32ft-260ft.

What to see

The highlight of this dive site is the huge manta rays gliding past divers in all directions. It is also easy to see dancing gobies, fire gobies, parrotfish, small tuna, angelfish, snapper, and triggerfish at Manta Avenue.
