Medhu Thila is a medium-sized, oval-shaped reef richly covered with many types of corals. At Medhu Thila, divers can explore nooks and crannies in between reef slopes. Corals hang down in lots of layers, hiding numerous marine species.

The best time to dive at South Ari Atoll is December to May. The average air temperature is 27-31C/80-87F, and the average water temperature is 26-29C/79-84F.

What to see

Creatures such as fusiliers, tuna, turtles, nudibranchs, pufferfish, stonefish, scorpionfish, lionfish, octopi, moray eels, stingrays, eagle rays, and reef sharks can be spotted around the reef while scuba diving at Medhu Thila.
