Punta Negra is a reef located along the Bay of Women (Bahia Mujeres). It is a dive with some great coral formations, surreal sponges and abundance of sea life. The site is frequently visited by learning divers and those who are looking for a bit of isolation.

When to go

Diving is available all year round with the high season running from December to March. Water temperature varies from 25C/75F to 29C/84F.

What to see

Diving in these waters visitors can observe schools of amber jacks, snappers, variety of baskin sharks, crabs, pufferfish, lionfish, stone fish, angelfish, lobsters and turtles.
