Secret Bay, located off the west coast of Bali, is one of the most beautiful places in Bali to dive. Underwater photographers and macro fauna lovers will be especially pleased, because a variety of macro life in Secret Bay is almost unmatched worldwide. There is no corals in this bay, however, the black volcanic sand on the shallow bottom provides an excellent background for underwater photography.

When to go

It is possible to dive in Secret Bay all year long. The average water temperature is around 28C/82F throughout the year.

What to see

Secret Bay is like heaven for underwater photography as it hosts all sorts of weird marine creatures, including sea slugs, seahorses, sea snakes, octopus, dragonet, frogfish, a variety of ghost pipefish and many other interesting fish species.
