Seraya is a dive site in Bali that is famous for muck diving and macro diving. It has a black sand bottom and variety of small creatures. Night dives are very popular here.

When to go

It is possible to dive at Seraya year-round, but the best months for diving are from March to October. November to January has more rain and wind. The average air temperature is 28C/82F, and the water temperature averages 28-30C/82-86F.

What to see

Seraya’s variety of species includes firefish, mimic octopi, pipefish, nudibranchs, seahorses, frogfish, and cuttlefish. Parrotfish, surgeonfish, angelfish, and trumpetfish also hide among the corals and purple fans. Some photogenic species are flatworms, sea cucumbers, blennies, sea urchins, shrimp, and crabs.
