Sha'ab Marsa Alam is a good diving area for divers of all experience levels. The average depth of the site is 20-30m/65-100ft with water visibility around 25m/80ft. It is a large reef with many coral pillars and ergs in the white sand and a German dive boat wreck. Diving is often done at the north and south ends, where divers can see groupers, snappers, shoals of bannerfish and jacks.

When to go

All year long. The water is warm year round and ranges from 26 to 30C/78 to 86F.

Reef, wreck, coral pillars and ergs, spinner dolphins, groupers, snappers, shoals of bannerfish and jacks, whitetips, turtles.
