Shabrur Umm Gamar is located approximately 1km/0.6mi north of the island of Umm Gamar and is a submerged mountain blanketed in rich corals. The walls of the mountain are notable not only for their corals, but also because of the crevices and caves sheltering a variety of marine fauna species. In addition to the mountain, the site also has several wrecks of Egyptian boats, one of which can be reached at 20m/66ft deep. The two other wrecks lie at over 70m/230ft deep, and can only be reached by technical divers. The site is known for big fish and superb conditions for photography.
