Shark Point is located to the west of Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. The dive site has opportunities for shallow diving on a sloping reef, as well as examining the ridges and valleys on the way to the deeper places. The place got its name because sharks are often seen at a depth of 28m/92ft.

When to go

The highest diving season is July through September and December and January. It is also possible to dive in May, June, and October. The low season (February, March, April, and November) has rainy weather. The average water temperature is 28C/82F throughout the year.

What to see

The abundant marine life here includes turtles on the soft corals, whitetip, blacktip sharks and even grey reef sharks, jacks, barracudas, angelfish, snapper, and blue-spotted stingrays.
