Solitary Rock is located 2.5mi/1.5km away from Zihuatanejo Bay. This spot is ideal for night dives, deep dives and multi-level dives. The maximum depth of the site is 40m/131ft.

When to go

Scuba diving is possible all year- round. The average air temperature stays between 20C/68F and 30C/86F throughout the year. Water temperature ranges between 18C/64F and 31/87F. The rainy season starts in June and carries on through the beginning of October.

What to see

Large rock formations and a wall invite divers to observe a wide variety of sea life, including algae bloom, sea horses, white tip sharks, starfish, frog fish, octopi, puffer fish, eagle rays, large schools of yellow fin tuna and other tropical species.
