Theo's Wreck (originally MS Logna) is located off shore of Grand Bahama Island.This world famous wreck, a 74m/230ft long steel cargo ship, was built in Norway in 1954 and intentionally sunk in 1982. She sits on her port side 33m/100ft below the surface on the edge of the continental shelf, with the upper part of the ship reaching a more moderate 20m/65ft of water. The wreck can be penetrated through the engine room as well as the expansive cargo space. Generally, the water is so clear that divers can see the hull from the moment they dive into the water, which is completely smothered in orange false gorgonians.
When to go
The diving season is open year round. The average water temperature ranges from 24C/75F December through March to 31C/87F June through October.
What to see
Wreck, sponges, colorful corals, including black corals, and is home to a variety of fish species such as sharks, rays, moray eels, butterfly fish, gargantuan Jewfish and turtles.
