The Vacation Home Corner is a dive site off the west coast of the island of Thoddoo, where divers can experience nice drift diving. At this dive site, divers are even allowed to get lost for a time and choose whatever direction they want, exploring a beautiful coral garden in the shallows or a spectacular drop-off. Divers will be pleasantly surprised by the variety of small and large reef inhabitants and will have a chance to encounter some big pelagic visitors.
When to go
Divers can enjoy diving at this site all year round, because the water temperature is always warm here, averaging 26-29C/79-84F throughout the year. However, the best diving conditions are during the period from December to May, when there is less rain and the seas are calmer.
What to see
At this dive site, divers will see beautiful corals, nudibranchs, angelfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, bannerfish, surgeonfish, and giant moray eels, while at a deeper depth they can see stingrays, eagle rays, big grouper, passing barracudas, and cruising reef sharks.
