About Dubrovnik-Neretva County
The Dubrovnik-Neretva County is the southernmost county in the Republic of Croatia on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Dubrovnik-Neretva offers a great number of locations where divers can explore rocks, underwater caves, reefs, wrecks and multiple archipelagos, including Elafiti archipelago walls. Best dive sites are: Taranto wreck, S-57, Sveti Andrija, Benesin Rat, Te Vega, Dingač, Priscapac, Bezdan, Bijelac, Glavat, and Mrkanjac. The depth of the sites ranges from 15m to 45m/50-150ft and in some areas reaches 85m/280ft.
When to go to Dubrovnik-Neretva County
Scuba diving is possible year round due to its subtropical climate. Winters are usually mild with ocasional rains, but still good to dive.
The most pleasant time to explore underwater landscape and astonishing variety of sea creatures is from May till September, when the temperature is about 27C/80F.
The rainy season is from September to February.
