Jaya is a traditional phinisi boat with modern comfort. It's a good value for money. She offers short 6 nights to Raja Ampat and to one of the best destinations to spot whale sharks in Indonesia - Chederawasih Bay.

Boat interior and exterior
The boat has 6 cabins that accommodate up to 14 divers on board. 4 rooms are twins and suits for sharing and 2 rooms are triple. Each cabin is equipped with air conditioning. There are 3 shared bathrooms with freshwater and toiletries.
You will find plenty of lounge areas on the top deck with shaded areas, bag beans, and small tables to sit and enjoy amazing scenarios.

Diving
Jaya has a 4 m dive tender to transfer you to dive sites. Dive deck located at the top deck.  12 l tanks are provided as well as storage facilities for diving equipment. Separate gear items can be rented on board with a prior notification.

Safety and navigation
The boat equipped with all necessary safety facilities including life rafts and safety jackets, firs aid kit.

Diving features
Most of Jaya itineraries concentrated on diving in Raja Ampat. During the 6 nights trip to Dampier Straight that separates the Raja Ampat from Waigeo, you will dive on the most well-known dive sites of this region as Melissa’s Garden, Blue Magic, Arborek, the Fam Islands. It's a great opportunity to dive with barracuda, giant trevallies or reef sharks, moon wrasses and mantas.
Another great diving destination in the Jaya's collection is Cenderawasih Bay. It is home to the largest fish in the sea, the whale shark. This is one of the best locations in the world for seeing several whale sharks at a time. And it's all that this region has to offer. It was once a Japanese stronghold during World War 2. So now you can dive on several Japanese wrecks.

When to Go
It is possible to enjoy diving in Raja Ampat all year round. The time frame from October till the end of April can be considered as the best time to dive here. However, Jaya relocation closer to the Misool in May and then to the Cenderawasih Bay. So you can dive with this boat almost all year round. The water temperature here ranges from 27C to 30C (80.6 to 86F)

Great diving and fun groupVerified review
Had an excellent week aboard the Jaya. The trip is a nice mix of dives and some land visits, and a nice crew. With 4 dive masters the groups were small, 2 or 3 divers. The experience of the group was higher than I thought, with 100 dives I was about average. The description of the trip on the site is a bit cryptic but you hit all the main dive spots. I was a bit wary of engine noise but that was not an issue. The boat engine was not too loud. After 10pm they switch to the night generator which you can't hear. Only the compressor makes a lot of noise but that is only when the tanks are filled. With 1.90m beds can be an issue but I can report I fitted easily. There are three bathrooms, which was enough (rarely had to wait).
