About Krk Island
Krk is an island in the Gulf of Kvarner, in the northern Adriatic Sea, Dalmatian coast. The island is very popular among tourists because of its picturesque bays, sand and pebble beaches and well-established tourist infrastructure. The northwestern coast of the island is steep and rocky with only a few settlements due to the fierce bura (cold northeasterly wind). This island is also a popular wine region besides being a good scuba diving spot. The waters of Adriatic, amazing underwater landscapes with reefs, stone plateaus, caves and walls covered with corals, as well as several wrecks explain the large amount of divers coming to Krk. There is a wide variety of diving opportunities, including night diving, boat dives, beginner and advanced dive courses and even special courses.
