About Maui
The island of Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. The waters around Maui are exceptionally clear, offering some spectacular diving and snorkeling throughout the island. South and West Maui are known to be full of incredible diving opportunities (including the Lanai and Molokai- Maui's neighbor islands), and the north and the east part of the island are less explored.
Maui scuba diving includes many woth visitng sites, among the best are Molokini Crater, Turtle Town, Honolua Bay, Coral Gardens, Black Rock. Molokini Crater is a crescent-shaped volcanic formation with great visibility, unspoiled reef around and rich variety of fish, like spinner dolphins, eels, and the occasional manta ray.
When to go to Maui
Maui is a year-round destination with a tropical climate. The rainy season is from November to March. The high seasons are April through May and September through November. The average air temperatures vary from 23 to 26C/73-78F throughout the year. The average water temperatures range from 23C/73F to 27C/81F, being in their lowest in January and February. The water visibility varies from 10 to 30m/32-98ft. The currents vary from low to medium.
