About Riviere du Rempart

Diving fans from all over the world come to Rivière du Rempart. There are plenty of places in the region to practice scuba diving and most of them are suitable for both professional and novice divers. Diving in this area opens an amazing view into the diverse marine life of coral reefs with lots of colorful fish to explore. There are a lot of memorable sites to dive, such as Confetti Bay, known for its sparkling, iridescent fish, as well as Holt's Rock, Whale rock, Coral Garden. Dive sites in Pereybere such as Aquarium and Poison Reef, are known for the colonies of poisonous fish that inhabit them. Also among the great places for diving in the lagoons are islands Coin de Mire, Ile Plate, Ile Ronde, Gabriel and Ile d 'Ambre. The dive site in Ile Plata La Fosse aux Requins is famous for its impressive population of different sharks. Wrecks Djabeda, Stella Maru, Water Lily and Emily Wrecks provide interesting grounds for divers of all levels of experience that are worth exploring.

When to go to Riviere du Rempart

Weather conditions allow diving all year round, and thanks to the excellent visibility, diving at night is possible. The periods from October to December and March to April are considered to be the high diving season. Water temperature stays around 22-27C/71-80F throughout the year. And the daily temperatures range from 17 to 30C/62 to 86F round the year.

 Diving in this area opens an amazing view into the diverse marine life of coral reefs with lots of colorful fish to explore. Among marine species divers will see parrotfish, butterfly fish, clown fish, trigger fish, snappers, wrasses, nudibranchs of all  colours, gorgonian fans, and many others.
