Smiling Seahorse offers a range of diving trips with different duration in Myanmar. The destination is famous for the opportunity to see whale sharks and untouched coral reefs. Photographers will appreciate special camera facilities like charging points and separate rinsing tanks. Deluxe cabins and standards can suit either for double occupancy or for twin share. The boat can offer great relaxation zones on the top deck with shaded area and hammocks and outdoor salon with a big sofa.
Boat Interior
The boat can accommodate up to 16 guests in 6 well-equipped cabins. Standards, as well as deluxe cabins, can either be set up as a double bed for couples or for twin share. Deluxe staterooms have an ensuite bathroom and standard rooms shares bathroom. Master cabins have a private bathroom and a panoramic view in addition.
Smiling Seahorse has been made to give you perfect relaxation. Outdoor salon with a large sofa is great to spend time in between dives. The boat has also a top deck relaxation zone with hammocks.
Safety
The boat has all necessary safety equipment including GPS, radar, VHF radio, satellite phone, first aid kit, emergency rafts, and life vests.
Diving
The ratio of dive guides to divers on board of Smiling Seahorse is 4:1. There is plenty of storage space, a brand new dingy, and fin friendly ladders. Nitrox is available on board.
Itinerary features
The thing that makes Smiling Seahorse special is diving routs. She is one of the few liveaboards that offer diving in Myanmar. Divers can choose from itineraries with different durations. The destination was closed for diving until mid ’90s and is still under quite a strict regulation. Now Myanmar offers untouched coral reefs and abundance of fish. Whale sharks sometimes can be seen, seahorses and blacktip reef sharks and groups of nurse sharks.
When to Go
Myanmar has two main seasons. The dry season is from November to March, has slightly cooler temperatures. Rain is common between June and October. Sea can be rough. Water temperatures range from 26-27C (78.8F) to 30C (86F)
